RESEARCH INTERESTS

1. Developing new neurochemical technologies such as single-cell mass spectrometry, single-organelle mass spectrometry, mass spectrometry imaging.

2. Studying the changes of small molecule metabolites in the neurologic disease such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease using single cell mass spectrometry and brain mass spectrometry imaging.

3. Understanding the neuronal circuit mechanism of sensory (especially pain) processing and its related neurological disorders, such as chronic inflammatory pain and allodynia and hyperalgesia in neuropathic pain. Developing new therapeutic medicine and treatment to relieve chronic pain.
